MINIBAT FC60 (“ASA”) OSIL

 

The MiniBAT, is an instrumentation platform, towable, remotely controlled, extremely light and designed so that a variety of sensors can be coupled for data collection.

The MiniBAT from EMEPC is equipped with a video camera, two LED lights and the captured image can be viewed in real time on a monitor installed in a waterproof portable case, where the recording of the image is also controlled.

​

The flight is controlled manually or by software, allowing to maintain a constant altitude or depth, or between 2 depths allowing the study of a certain layer of the water column (it can be ideal for physical and chemical characterization, using a CTD). This software has an anti-collision function making it easier to navigate in more hilly areas.

​

The great versatility of this equipment allows it to be easily adapted to any measuring instrument.

​

The system, in this configuration, consists of the "wing", a manual control and GPS bag, a video observation and recording bag, a hydrophone and a 200m cable winch.
