CSEP

The CSEP's scope is to gather scientific information in order to delineate the outer limits of the Portuguese continental shelf and use this information to prepare, submit and discuss, in conjunction with the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf, the Portuguese proposal for the extension of its continental shelf.

ROV LUSO

The ROV Luso is a remotely operated vehicle capable of diving to depths of 6,000m. For Portugal, it represents the ability to reach and operate on 100% of the ocean floor under national sovereignty (including the future area corresponding to the extension of the continental shelf) and 97% of the seabed on a global scale.
