CTD´s
A CTD (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) is an oceanographic instrument that allows physical water parameters to be acquired, such as conductivity (from which salinity can be calculated), temperature and depth (obtained through hydrostatic pressure). It allows to make a measurement in a point or in a vertical profile, thus characterizing, physically, the water column.
Other sensors may be attached to this equipment, which allow completing this characterization, either physically or chemically, acquiring parameters such as: dissolved oxygen, turbidity, fluorescence, pH, oxidation-reduction potential, etc.
EMEPC has some models of CTD's, which, depending on the objective and mission, enable the maximization of data in situ.
CTD Idronaut
The CTD Idronaut 316 allows the acquisition of several physical and chemical parameters of water up to 6000 meters in depth. The parameters consist of pressure, conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, fluorescence, pH and oxidation-reduction potential. Its dimensions and operation mode allow the introduction of several sensors and thus the interpretation of the water column in different physical, chemical and biological parameters, thus enhancing scientific knowledge in a single operation. It has the possibility of being able to be mounted on a rosette , on an ROV or working on stand alone .

CASTAWAY-CTD
The CastAway-CTD model is a small, robust and technically advanced CTD, designed to profile depths up to 100m. Its hydrodynamic design, which allows a free fall of 1m / s, the display of profile graphics in real time and on the screen itself, data transfer via bluetooth and the fully integrated GPS, give CastAway CTD true portability, easy handling and operability, so data acquisition has become much simpler.
This equipment has a response time of 5Hz, so the time for each profile is reduced, making it possible to cover more extensive work areas. The system includes the CTD sensor, with a resistant protection, pen for selecting the function, cable, batteries for analysis software and visualization of georeferenced data.
