ROSETTE - 1018 WATER SAMPLER (Integrated with CTD IDRONAUT 316 PLUS)

The sampling of water in the ocean can be performed using manual or automated methods. Rosette samplers, consist of a set of bottles that close automatically or as instructed by the user, at different depths.

General characteristics of the EMEPC rosette - 1018 water sample :

The Rosette 1018 allows water sampling up to 6000 meters in depth and a total of 11 bottles of niskin with a volume of 5 liters each. Sampling is performed by sending commands by the user on board the ship or pre-programmed, thus not requiring a communications cable. The CTD Idronaut 316 is the communication platform between the user and Rosette and from which it receives the closing commands for each bottle.
